I’m Lorien Adey. I always find about me pages difficult to write, you either make yourself sound absolutely boring (and I’d rather be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring) and utterly flawed or you make it seem like you love yourself. Although according to Tara Tomes, and I quote, “It’s okay, you’re allowed to sound like you love yourself.”

So here we go! Surprisingly my name is Lorien – you would never have guessed right? I want to live somewhere where drinks flow from cocktail hour till breakfast at Tiffany’s. I’m young, naïve and full of promise.

I am a full time art and design student, part time general office bitch and a quasi socialite (at times anyway). I live in the rural county of Worcestershire in the West Midlands.

I never used to be that fond of myself, but recently I feel at home in my own skin. I’ve come to accept who I am and with this thus embracing of myself I’ve felt empowered to explore life. This blog will be a record of my life, explorations, likes, dislikes and general miscellaneous ramblings.

I have an interest in fashion, lifestyle, art, design, industry, retail and general well being. I like to socialise with people who hold similar interests and principles with myself.

I see life as a blank canvas and I’m ready to make my marks. I do not expect to be remembered for anything, but knowing that I have made my mark on any single person I’d die quite satisfied. I see the point of life as developing yourself as much as you can, I intend to develop in many ways. I have much to learn and I cannot wait. I feel as far as I am concerned life is about refinement. You start off as a diamond in the rough, and you have to polish over time yourself into a sparkling diamond worthy of Anna Wintour’s eye.

Although don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t want to be perfect (as much as I am a perfectionist), I’d rather be perfectly flawed. I’m a hot mess.

I used to have dreams that one day people would care what shirts I wore, I’m over that now – I’m living life to have fun.
